1. Name of the Post: Constable (Armed Branch)

No of Posts: 1429 posts
Pay Scale: Rs.14,000-60,500/-with Grade Pay of Rs.5,600/- and other allowances as admissible under the rules.
Age Limit: Candidates age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 25 years as on 1st July 2021.
Educational Qualification:
- Candidate must have passed Class 10th or HSLC from government recognized board or university.

No of Posts: 705 posts

Other Criteria of Assam Police Recruitment
Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens, permanent resident of Assam.
Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates must register his/her name with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.
Local Language Proficiency: Candidates must speak Assamese or any other state language fluently.
Age Relaxation: Upper age relaxation will be as mentioned below.
- OBC/MOBC: 3 Years
- ST/SC: 5 Years
- Home Guards/ Members of VDP: 3 Years
- FMMOs/SPOs: 10 Years
Note: The date of birth accepted by the SLPRB will be as per matriculation or an equivalent.
Examination certificate issued by government recognized board. No other document relating to age such as horoscope, affidavit, birth extract from Municipal Corporation, Health Department, Service Record etc. will be accepted.
