State Level Police Recruitment Board, Assam has released an employment notifications for the recruitment of 2450 Constable (AB) vacancy for newly created Assam Commando Battalions. Interested and eligible candidates may apply online for these vacancy.
Assam Battalions Recruitment 2022
Name of the Post: Constable (AB)
No of Posts: 2450 posts
Category-wise vacancy:
- Constable (AB) Male & Transgender: 2220 posts
- Constable (AB) Female: 180 posts
- Constable (AB) Nursing: 50 posts
Pay Scale: Rs.14,000-60,500/-with Grade Pay of Rs.5,600/- and other allowances as admissible under the rules.
Age Limit: Candidates age must be between 18 to 21 years as on 01-01-2021 (i.e. the candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2003 and on or after 01.01.2000).
Educational Qualification:
- HSLC or Equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council.
- In addition for the posts of Constable (Nursing), Nursing Diploma is necessary.

Other Criteria of Assam Commando Battalion Recruitment
Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens, permanent resident of Assam.
Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates must register his/ her name with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.
Local Language Proficiency: Candidates must speak Assamese or any other state language fluently.
Age Relaxation: Category-wise upper age limit relaxation is as mentioned below
- SC/ST(H)/ST(P): 5 (five) years
- OBC/ MOBC: 3 (three) years
- National and International Sports Person: 3 (three) years
